Quiz

A quick quiz is three or four short questions on what was just taught, answered by everyone, to check it went in before moving on.

The real slide Chalk makes, in the Classroom look. Every word is written for your lesson when you use it.

How to run it

  1. Ask every pupil to answer, on paper or a whiteboard.
  2. Show the answers straight away.
  3. If most got one wrong, teach that part again before going on.

Why it works

Low-stakes testing is one of the best-supported ways to make learning stick, and it tells the teacher what to reteach.
